Artrageous is by the Eclipse award champion (1999) and track record setting sprinter Artax out of the accomplished Alysheba mare Treize. Trieze is the dam of Brancusi, who was 2nd in the Bluegrass Stakes (G1) before running in the Kentucky Derby in 2003. Artrageous began eventing as a 5 year old and went to his first event three months after he took his first jump - finishing clear on cross country.

Arty has schooled up to the Prelim level of eventing, but a rider injury and finances cut his competitive career short. He is a fabulous jumper with a ton of scope and has an excellent free shoulder. He has also been foxhunting and is an excellent hunt horse. A true Amateur's dream, he is very easy to ride and train and has an excellent work ethic. He has an excellent disposition and is pastured with his "harem" of mares. As he is basically "bombproof" we use him to pony youngsters and he is a quiet leader for them. He loves ALL his jobs!

Sire of the winner of the 2018 3 year old Thoroughbred filly division at Devon with the Fox Haven Farm, Inc. bred filly ArtoftheNite. Also sire of the AQHA Appendix filly Glorious who took 2nd in the Sallie B. Wheeler 2 year old Fillies hunter breeding national championship at Del Mar.
Arty also has babies competing in eventing and winning in the “A” circuit hunters. He’s consistently producing athletic horses with great minds.
