100% guaranteed roan foal with this foundation bred homozygous blue roan stallion. Blue Lynx Cat is a 2018 AQHA stallion standing at stud at The Lewis Ranch. He is homozygous for the roan gene, so he will produce roan foals 100% of the time. He is 5-panel and LWO negative and listed as a breeding stallion with APHA as well; so bring your paint mares. He carries a black gene and a red gene (Ee), so Blue roan, Bay roan, and Red roan (and Palomino, Buckskin roan, etc.... (read more) ) foals are possible with this stallion, depending upon the color genetics of your mare. He does not carry the Agouti gene (aa), so if your mare doesn't throw one, and the black gene (from him or your mare) is thrown, you will get a blue roan foal (in the absence of cream or other color modifiers thrown by your mare)...but if your mare carries Agouti (Aa/AA), and throws it, and his (or her) black gene is thrown, then the Agouti gene will restrict the black to points, for a bay roan foal. If your mare is sorrel/chestnut (ee), and he throws his red gene (he will always throw the roan gene, but there is a 50/50 chance on the black vs red gene every mating), then you will get a red roan foal. If your mare carries the dun, gray, cream genes, these color modifiers, if thrown by your mare, can alter/enhance these three basic roan colors (i.e., blue roan, bay roan, red roan)...e.g., palomino roan, buckskin roan, grulla roan, etc. He will always throw his roan gene to the foal, which will always express in your foal. His first foal crop has two on the ground so far this year (both grullo roans). He is Hancock and Blue Valentine breeding, and has a beautiful head.
