In fact, he has winnings in all NRCHA divisions (snaffle, hackamore, two-rein and bridle) and qualified for the World Show in all but snaffle.
He's a winner in every phase of reined cow horse. His offspring are showing they are destined for the same, along with inheriting his trainability, try and grit.
In the AQHA, he was High Point Open Junior Working Cow Horse for 2011, earned 22 AQHA points plus a Register of Merit in Open Performance. Bettin Yer Smart won in reined cow horse and cutting competitions, been among an honored few to be named an NRCHA Supreme Working Cow Horse, and, locally, he excelled at the Black Hills Stock Show and S.D. Reined Cow Horse Association.
Bettin Yer Smart is a product of the infamous Lindy Burch program for the Oxbow Ranch. He is out of Bet Yer Boons, a great producing daughter of Lindy’s legendary mare Bet Yer Blue Boons (LTE almost $333,000; all-time leader of cutting horse offspring) and Peptoboonsmal ($20+ million offspring earnings).
Bettin Yer Smart is an own son of the #2 All-Time Leading NCHA sire, Smart Little Lena (LTE $577,652; offspring earnings in excess of $50 million; NCHA Futurity, Super Stakes and Derby champion; AQHA Hall of Fame). Bettin Yer Smart's full sister, Little Royal Blue, has NCHA earnings of $37,196.
This national champion knows how to work on the ranch, from dragging calves to gathering and sorting. He has a great disposition and is passing on his trainability and try. Be sure to check out the website for information on his offspring, too.
