"Arawen" is a straight russian mare that we bought from the Taylor ranch, (final home of the late *Muscat and *Nariadni) as a weanling. Her pedigree speaks for itself to anyone seeking a broodmare prospect. She is a grandaughter of both Padron and Moment with Salon and Princip in there also, to add a little more russian flare. Arawen has a simply beautiful frame which floats elegantly over the ground on perfectly straight legs. Her head is short and clean with large bright eyes and overall good balance. In my opinion, she is a gorgeous mare both standing and moving. Her barn manners are good. She cross ties, single ties, blankets, wears sleazies, leg wraps, and catches very easily. She loves attention and loves to show off! We showed her at liberty at the Region 6 show as a two year old and she was beautiful. She has just returned Feb. 9 from two and a half months professional training which went very well. The trainer liked her and said that, in his opinion, she's a good girl that has a bright future in western disciplines. She is collecting nicely, moves well off your leg, half passes, side passes, backs, and is getting used to her leads. Obviously, she still is only green broke and has alot of experiences to learn from, but, is started nicely. |
