With lifetime earnings of $90,371.00, Rocky was retired in 2006 and brought to Virginia to begin a new career at stud. Though his pedigree reads like a who's who of racing, including names like, Mountain Cat, Storm Cat, Hoist the Flag, Northern Dancer, Native Dancer, Secretariat, Never Bend, Bold Ruler, Nasrullah, War Admiral, and Man O' War, Bellevue Farm felt that with his willing temperament, correct conformation, natural elegance, and lovely flowing movement, he has much to offer the highly competitive Sport Horse disciplines. The focus for his first few seasons at stud is to show him capable of improving a variety of breeds in the Hunter and Sport Horse arenas.
