Additional Comments:
Orio was a bullfighting stallion in Portugal and was imported to California in the late 90's. Since being imported he has trained all of the advanced dressage movements and is so incredibly athletic, agile, compact and powerful. Orio has exhibits the main breed characteristics that Lusitanos are so well known for Baroque type, with convex facial profiles, heavy muscling, intelligent and willing natures, with agile and elevated movement. Members of the breed are still used in bloodless bullfighting today, where it is expected that neither horse or bull will be injured. Orio's sire is form the region in Portugal that is called Ribatejo which is the 'homeland' of lusitanos for bull fighting... Orio is a great horse. Can be ridden with mares, geldings, stallions, in quadrilles. He is the super star during summer camps with all of the camp kids who enjoy grooming him and braiding his mane. We expect him to pass on his excellent disposition to his offspring along with his talent!
