Carracci is a gorgeous stallion of undeniable quality who is a very strong reflection of his distinguished Holsteiner lineage. He fills a much needed niche in the current fresh semen H/J stallion offering in North America. He offers breeders a world-class pedigree, proven international and domestic performance, good type, strong coupling, excellent length of leg, freedom of the shoulder, tremendous power from behind, unquestionable rideabilty and an incredibly kind, generous disposition. Carracci is a rare gem with a huge heart and an ever better brain.
He was imported in 2007 and competed with junior rider, Christina Kelly. The pair amassed numerous top placings on the A-circuit. Video of 12-year old Christina with Carracci in a small Grand Prix in Spain: Youtube Video
Before import, Carracci bred lightly over in Europe while competing with Olaf Peters to the Grand Prix level and was considered a strong candidate for the '04 Olympics before an injury sidelined those big dreams. Carracci's offspring are strongly stamped type-wise and share his amazing temperament. As a stallion who could have easily competed in the hunter ring (but did not because of being a stallion with a junior rider), Carracci is being used as both a producer of jumpers and hunters. If he's bred to a hunter mare, the resulting foal is more of a hunter type including the movement.
In Europe, Carracci offspring are continuing their sire's competitive success. Daughter China Blue 4 competed with Marco Kutscher in the Global Champions Tour: http://www.globalchampionstour.com/profiles/horses/5058/china-blue-4/gallery/
Another daughter was crowned Vice Champion of South Germany in the 5-Year Old classes. And most recently, a Carracci grandson won the 6-year old class in Monte Carlo and qualified for the Bundeschampionat with an overall score of 8.7.
Carracci has been approved in Germany including by the Holsteiner Verband and completed his stallion testing so his offspring are registerable in a number of US registries. In the US, he is approved with the SBS.
