Imported to the US in 2011, Egrando Van't Heike is a 2004 BWP Approved stallion by Grandeur. This impressive Belgian stallion began his career in the sport of Show Jumping with a bang on the young horse tours in Europe.
At the age of 4, Egrando was crowned Champion of the 4 year olds at the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken, Belgium by easily demonstrating his power, technique and competitiveness. As a 5 year old, he finished 2nd at the Championships, having jumped five clear rounds throughout the competition. His success did not end there as over the next two years he continued to jump clear rounds on the young horse tour, and most notably finished 8th in the stallion class at CSI-W Mechelen.
Upon his arrival to the US, he quickly began sweeping up top ribbons in the 7/8 year old YJC divisions with Margie Goldstein-Engle in the irons. Their many successes throughout the 2011 season qualified the pair for the Mid-Western League Young Jumper Finals for 7 year olds where they finished 7th overall.
Egrando's Sire Grandeur, won the German Show Jumping Derby an astounding 3 times and had lifetime earnings of more than 1.5 million DM. Granduer won World Cup competitions in Bordeaux,Paris, Gothenburg, Hertogenbosch, and London as well as Grand Prixs in Rome, Rotterdam, Stuttgart, Vienna and Calgary to name a few. He is considered to be one of the more successful show jumping stallions of his time.
Egrando's Dam Nefri Verdi, is an Elite Belgian mare who produced three approved sons. Her mother line has produced several International jumping and dressage horses along with several more approved sons. Here we also find the great Hanoverian stallion Wendekreis who is the son of the legendary Ferdinand. Wendekreis is regarded as one most influential stallions of the past few decades, and is a well known producer of riding horses with superb trainability. His son Werther was the first stallion to be awarded the "Stallion of the Year" by the German Hanoverian Verband.
Egrando Van't Heike is an exceptional example of his pedigree. He was licensed by the BWP in 2007 and has produced several foals who show expression, suppleness, good bone and efficient technique. Due to his continued sporting career, Egrando Van't Heike is currently available with Frozen Semen.
