TC Moniets Legacy was the last foal of the famous straight Egyptian mare Bint Bint Moniet, who sold for $2.2 million in 1985, at the age of 13. Bint Bint Moniet (*Rashad Ibn Nazeer x *Bint Moniet el Nefous, by Nazeer) was a U.S. National Top Ten Halter Mare at the age of 3. She produced a legacy of Champions, including the bay stallion Moniet El Sharaf (by *Ibn Moniet el Nefous) who was syndicated for $10 million, the grey mare AK Ghazala (by *Ibn Moniet el Nefous) who was exported to France, and her crowning glory, the homozygous black stallion TC Moniets Legacy (by The Minstril).
The Minstril (1984-2010) was an international superstar, known for siring halter and performance champions around the world. He was U.S. Top Ten Futurity Colt in 1987 and U.S. and Canadian Top Ten Stallion in 1993. His get were exported to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Belgium, South Africa, Australia, Egypt, Morocco and Saudi Arabia.
TC Moniets Legacy is the ONLY horse to be sired by The Minstril and out of Bint Bint Moniet. Legacy's pedigree is unique, and he was blessed with the rare black color ... not only black, but homozygous for the black color gene.
TC Moniets Legacy (1990-2009) was a beautiful athlete who sired Egyptian Event Halter Champions AND sired successful and prized working ranch horses AND sired winning endurance trail horses. Legacy was himself a natural athlete, very strong & powerful. He was a working ranch horse, a pleasure riding horse, a trail riding horse, and a charismatic show horse. He also enjoyed dressage.
TC Moniets Legacy had a fabulous disposition, great intelligence, and outstanding willingness to work. His get inherit these qualities, along with his excellent conformation, superior bone structure, natural athleticism, and often, his rare blue-black color. If your mare is black, your foal is guaranteed to be black. If your mare is chestnut, and has been tested non-Agouti (aa), then your foal is guaranteed to be black. If your mare is grey or bay, then the color of the foal could be grey or bay, but the foal is guaranteed to carry the black gene from Legacy. He cannot sire chestnuts, all his foals must carry his black gene.
