MINISTRO V is an APTO approved PRE stallion recently imported from Spain. MINISTRO brings some of the best and most coveted bloodlines to the U.S., which are mostly Yeguada Militar and Escalera, with some Guardiola. He has YM blood through LEBRIJANO III. LEBRIJANO'S sire was the legendary AGENTE and AGENTE's father is MALUSO, both are regarded and respected as two of the principal stud stallions for the evolution of the PRE race. This line of stallions are known for passing down the prototypical characteristics of the PRE and suspended movement with strong impulsion and great extension to the offspring. These stallions laid the foundation for success in dressage. LEBRIJANO III has 124 offspring, including Macanuo, an Escalera stud stallion, Champion of Spain 1989, and Great Grand Sire of MINISTRO V. MINISTRO'S sire is the famous and well known stallion, BREZO V, father and brother to two Absolute Champions of Spain. BREZO V has produced many Champion and Calificado (Graded Elite/Qualified) offspring. MINISTRO'S dam is MINISTRA-SENI from the famous Senillosa stud, well known for breeding top dressage horses with Escalera origins. This mare won 5th with 79.5 points in her only National show. MINISTRO has spent the first 3 years of his dressage training at the Olympian, Beatriz Ferrar-Salat's training facility where he has proven all of the natural talent and great attitude that is required for a dressage horse to make it to the upper levels. MINISTRO is a brilliant horse who is motivated by pleasing his rider - a perfect combination. Smooth, floating gaits, powerful hindquarters, and incredible ease of collections are his strongest attributes under saddle. On the ground, he is a lovable, affectionate, personable stallion.
