Maverick is a 100% NFQHA stallion who's pedigree reads like the true blood of the foundation quarter horse. He is 35% Poco Bueno with 11 crosses, and 21% King with 15 crosses. Maverick has the easy trainability known of the Poco horses and is as smart as they come. He is sane and level headed, easy to handle and just a joy to be around. He sports a great hip, good shoulder, good muscling and that perfect head. Cross him on your High Brow Cat or Dual Pep mares to get that modern cow sense on a level head for your perfect cow horse!
Maverick has had training as a working cowhorse. He was started on barrels this year and went to a handful of NBHA shows to get him some exposure. He is started nicely and will be ready to start pushing next year. He is progressing well and showing promise in the arena. We took first place in our local 2011 Freestyle Reining!
Ask for more pictures. He is great with kids and doesn't raise a fuss around other horses at shows.

Rocky Fork Ranch - Nice, quiet farm specializing in producing quality foundation quarter horse foals. We also specialize in barrel racing and have two seasoned riders giving lessons. The owners run their own 4H club, and almost all of our clients qualify to go to the State Fair. We take pride in making riding fun for kids and producing horses that give something to the breed. Our stallion, Lil Poco Jess Tivio, is a joy to own and ride. Anyone can ride him and he is quite the dream!
