Scenic Driftwood "Drifter" is a 2002 black and white overo stallion. When I was looking for a stallion, I wanted a old school halter (muscular, not Frankenstein) look combined with athletic ability and a great mind. I found all that in Drifter. He was not shown due to an extensive leg injury that left a very large scar. He not only possesses exceptional form, he has a ton of athletic ability. He is the quickest, cattiest horse I have seen. He spins on a dime,changes leads effortlessly, tucks down nicely on a stop. He has a great, kind personality. He throws exceptional foals. They have been large, colorful, extremely correct foals with great minds. A large portion of the foals (over 85%) have had at least 1 blue eye. And those blue eyes have ALWAYS been surrounded by black color...not white. He has NEVER produced a solid foal, and if he does you breed back for no additional semen charge. (Shipping would apply). Drifters genetic testing is as follows: RED FACTOR: E/E (no red factor detected. CANNOT HAVE RED FOALS. AGOUTI: a/a Only recessive Allele. Black Pigment distributed uniformly. Basic color is Black. Lethal White N/O. If breeding to an Overo mare, please know your mares status. We can discuss this. Because of the current market, I have reduced Drifters fee to $250.00 this year. So, at booking you pay $150.00 of the $250.00 fee. At shipping time. you pay the shipping fee and other $100.00. Or we can work out a schedule. If you are close enough to the ranch for LIVE COVER, I have very nice facilities. Wet care is $6.00 per day and dry care is $4.00 per day. Negative Coggins, vaccinations and worming must be current. If the mare wears shoes they need to be removed prior to arrival. I feed hay, and will gladly feed any special feeds you provide. Stalls and paddocks available, as well as daily turn-out. I work very hard to make this a quick, easy, happy process for you and your mare. A stallion is only as good as his offspring...take a look at some of Drifter's!!!
