Additional Comments:
Richard (European Show Name: Ravanelli / US Show Name: Decadent) is a 17hh black sabino imported KWPN stallion with a strong sport horse pedigree from both parents. Richard is the son of Kroongraaf whose sire, Burggraaf is considered one of the most successful sires. Burggraaf, himself, jumped at the international level under Roelof Bril. Richard's dam sire, Rianne, can be considered as one of the best Dutch dams ever. She is the full sister of the international jumping horse, Optiebeurs Surprise under Rob Ehrens and in combination with four different stallions she produced no less than three international showjumping horses and two licensed stallions, Kroongraaf and Candy Surprise (Candy Boy). Richard's dam, Cendy comes from the Dutch mare line, fokfamilie 69, which has produced several licensed stallions and numerous horses successful in sport. She is by the important stallion, Le Mexico who produced the approved stallions Silvano, Ulft, Zelhem, Zonneglans, Astronaut and Expert. Le Mexico also produced numerous international showjumpers and dressage competitors.Richard has been successfully shown in both the Hunter Ring and the Jumper Ring including the Grand Prix level in the US. He has grand champion wins on the AA circuit in both Green Conformation Hunter and Regular Working Hunter. Richard was also shown in Holland in the Jumper Ring prior to his importation to the US in 2003. He was the first stallion approved under the BWP H-Label and should provide breeders a great opportunity to breed for both hunter and jumper style offspring. He crosses well with both TB and WB mares alike.Approved: BWP (Belgian Warmblood), AES (Anglo-European Studbook)Foals are also eligible: KWPN Register A, Continental Studbook, PHR (Performance Horse Registry)Please see website for full pedigree, additional photos and videos.
