Additional Comments:
LIVE COVER FEE $200 FOR '09. We now have shipped and frozen semen available for an additional chute fee. Check our website for details. www.horsesmithsfarm.com . Why is a Smoky Cream double dilute. He gets classified as a Perlino because the breed registries can't seem to keep up with the genetics. A Smoky Cream is a double dilute that is a black based horse, rather than a Perlino/bay based. He is gentle as a lamb, hardly anyone realizes that he is a stallion. He was ridden around other horses, hauled in the same trailer with mares and listens to his handler at all times. Two years ago he was hand bred and was a perfect gentleman and caught both mares he was bred to. Last year we had him turned in with the mares for his first couple of breedings and then continued with the hand breeding again. All went well again for the 08 breeding year. He had both in-house and outside mares for breeding and all but two are in foal. One never took and the other slipped after being confirmed. In the fall of 08, Why lost an eye. He has completely adjusted to this and again this year is a perfect gentleman to handle and breed. He is square and stocky, he rates 91.41% foundation but we have not registered him with a foundation registry yet. He is the grandson of Tiffdigger, an excellent cutting horse and also of Sugs Bar Doc. His sire is an excellent roping horse. His extended pedigree is on our website and also on AllBreedPedigree.com. Why will only make you a Palomino, buckskin or smoky black foal from a red, black or bay mare, he cannot reproduce red or bay coloring. We looked for a very long time for a double dilute, color producing stud with his temperament and foundation breeding. The stud fee we are asking in no way reflects the value we place on him. The market is soft and we would like to see him get some nice foals on the ground. We're willing to price his fee low enough to get you an excellent foal. Due to health reasons we are having to offer this wonderful stud for sale, we are asking $2500 to a good home only. He will continue to stand with us untill he is sold.
