i am 18 years old i have been around livestock all my life i have been traing horses sience i was 14. i have broke and trained several different type of horses i learned from an 80 year old man whom has been doing it all his life. and have recentally earned 11 endorsments from dennis reis. it usaly takes me 2 weeks to get a common horse ready for the trails and about 2 weeks in the trails before it is ready to put anyone on. i belave it takes constiant riding with a lot of miles on different terrain to finish a horse out. if weather permits i try to ride 5 days a week for bout an hour a day and some rides will be with 2 horses over 10 to 16 miles i will shwitch out on riding each one so they will learn how to pony and it also helps keep the from spooking so much. we will cross creeks rivers and ride in the woods along hwys. and county roads. this gets them use to traffic and anything else that might spook a horse while riding. i do work a job also so we do some night riding also. i perfer to ride in the spring and summer due to weather. i will ride in winter but it is harder on the horses and it takes longer due to the weather.
