He is the grandson of the beautiful Reserve National Grand Champion Johnstons Starlight Ranger. Starlight Ranger is a son of the great producing stallion Roan Ranger. This stallion’s father, BSL Rangers Blaze of Glory, is a National Top Ten producing stallion. Golden Rule's dam,Tiny Trails Fantastic Honey Blue, is a Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy granddaughter.
