Sturgeon Creek Arabians

We at Sturgeon Creek Arabians believe in producing an Arabian that typifies what the great Arabian horse was meant to be, the ultimate athlete. Since 1985, we have used only the best Russian and Polish bloodlines to produce horses with great movement, sound and correct conformation, and willing attitudes.

Our focus is on line-breeding to the gene pool created by the offspring of PRIBOJ x TAKTIKA. Please take the time to read the articles about TAKTIKA and *SABELLINA PASB.... (read more) Virtually ALL our offspring contain line-breeding to PRIBOJ x TAKTIKA and some contain line-breeding to *SABELLINA PASB as well. All of our broodmares trace to mares that were either Stakes winners or race winners in Russia and Poland.

We breed for horses with correct conformation and large hind quarters, as it is the hind quarter that provides the motor and propulsion to the horse. Our horses have gone on to take their owners to championships in endurance, winners at the race track, and ribbons in dressage and the Arabian show ring.

We are particularly proud of the quality of horses our breeding program has produced. Reason To Believe is the SECOND SCA-bred horse to be selected to compete at the World Endurance Championship. In 2002, SCA Dartagnan was chosen to represent Canada at the World Endurance Championship. We think it is quite a feat for a small breeding program such as ours to have produced two world-class athletes.
