Winter Haven Equestrian Center is located on 3.2 acres in the historic town of Oakland, NJ and is the former site of Ramapo Valley Stables. The property was acquired by the Fischetto’s and Kelly’s in 2008. We are family owned and operated. Our professionally licensed staff are friendly, extremely experienced, and well educated. We constantly strive to provide the best of care for your horse/pony, the most attentive lessons, and a very individualized training program for you as well as your horse/pony. We are in the process of continually upgrading and renewing the facility to provide all the comforts that you and your horse/pony deserve. We offer the following:
24 hour, 7 days a week on site security as 1 owner family and Barn Manager live on premises.
3 barns equaling 15 stalls- all rubber matted with shavings.
Heated water buckets in stalls and turn-outs during the winter.
90 x 140 outdoor lighted arena with brand new sand footing (this ring will be converted to our new indoor completed September 2009. Please check back for further updates).
70 x 130 outdoor lighted sand ring arena (completed summer 2009)
1 acre grass field approximately 200 x 400 (this field will be converted to our Olympic sized sand outdoor lighted arena).
Arenas are dragged at least once daily for optimal riding comfort.
All footing in arenas is refreshed yearly and added as needed.
4 turn-out paddocks with all new wood 5 foot fencing, all will be equipped with electric.
Outdoor wash area.
Newly painted stalls.
Bran Mash with treats every Sunday evening and after horse shows to keep your horse healthy and happy.
Grain consists of pellets, alfalfa cubes, and sweet feed, fresh water twice a day, and as much premium hay as needed and in turn-outs.
Newly renovated and decorated bathroom.
2 Grooming Stalls and 2 tack rooms.
Vending Machines.
2 full courses of show quality all weather jumps-decorated for the seasons.
Show quality, fully trained, calm lesson horses/ponies.
Sales, leases, and boarding.
