Painted Star Equine Rescue INC. a 501(c)3 public Charity, rescues horses from being auctioned for slaughter, takes in horses that have been sized by the state of Florida, and takes custody of horses abandoned by their owners . We rehabilitate and train horses for use as companion animals, riding horses and therapy horses that are then available for adoption to the general public with approval. Painted Star Equine Rescue offers education programs to help educate new horse owners with respect to proper care, management and Natural horsemanship training techniques. Education clinics and demonstrations are presented to the general public on issues such as veterinary care, shoeing, safety, Natural Horsemanship training, riding, and neglect and cruelty to animal issues. Painted Star Stables takes in outside horses to train when time allows . We use natural horsemanship methods to train horses and have very reasonable rates starting at just $450.00 a month (discounts for rescues). Our specialty is starting young horses, but we also help with horses who need a refresher course or need to work on a specific problem. We play with the horses 5days a week for a minimum of 1 HR. We do not time our training sessions, we take the time it takes for the horse to understand what we are asking before the lesson is over for the day. Also at the request of the owners we will take horses out on trail rides, to shows, playdays and clinics. Free Choice hay is included in our fees as well as plenty of love and caring each day. 100% of the profits go to the rescue to take care of the horses.
