We are a small ranch in southwest Manitoba, on the beautiful Assiniboine Valley, close to the towns of St. Lazare and Birtle. Our goal is to turn out quality western performance horses with a focus on cutting, cowhorses and ranch horses.

2006 Sorrel AQHA stallion. Cutters, reiners, cowhorse enthusiasts and ranchers, take a look at this guy! He is sired by ELANS PLAYBOY (by FRECKLES PLAYBOY), producer of NCHA, NRCHA and NRHA money earners in excess of $400 000. His dam, COWGIRLS ARE SMART is an NRCHA and NRHA money earning and producing daughter of the living legend, SMART CHIC OLENA. PLAYBOYS LUV CHICS has been shown lightly in reining and ranch horse competitions, started in reined cowhorse training under the supervision of Al Dunning! And heâs a great ranch horseâhe can do it all! Watch for him at events in Manitoba and Saskatchewan in 2011. His first foals are hitting the ground in Colorado in 2011. "Snack" is our up and coming stallion prospect, and what a prospect he is! He is sired by NCHA world champion SNACKBOX (by HAIDAS LITTLE PEP) and out of SHOWTIME DUALLY, a money earning and producing daughter of DUAL PEP. SHOWTIME DUALLY is one of BABCOCK RANCH'S top broodmares. "Snack" has been in cutting training since 2010 and we're excited to see him start his show career in 2011. Watch for him at cutting and cowhorse events in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

GREAT HORSEMANSHIP is paramount in everything we do with our horses. We keep this in mind from the first time we touch the babies, to halter breaking, to their first ride and onward. We are always expanding our horsemanship skills and knowledge by riding with some of the very best horsemen and ladies we've had the opportunity to meet. We believe in the usefulness of any horse. What we don't believe in is sacrificing the horse for personal gain.
