Services Offered

Training
Forest View Farms specializes in starting and training young horses for competition, show, pleasure, and trail riding, as well as working to rehabilitate/retrain mounts with problems or issues. Our local experienced trainers tote extensive resumes including training under cutting horse legend Jim McDonough and working at famous local farms including County Life Farms.

We have experience in all disciplines but specialize in training trail horses, lower level hunter/jumpers, gaming horses, and western disciplines such as cutting horses, working cow horses, roping horses, reining horses, barrel/speed horses, and pleasure mounts. We live by the philosophy that each and every horse has a unique personality, disposition, and learning style, and therefore no specific method of training or technique fits every horse. Each horse receives a customized training program to suite their individual qualities, intended discipline, and the owners’ specifications.
Horses in our training program are taught to be a safe and respectful partner by learning confidence, responsiveness, willingness, and trust. Through ground work, in-hand exercises, and mounted training our horses are able to progress to their own natural potential in a calm, relaxed and understanding atmosphere.

Our recently renovated facility enables us to keep horses in consistent work year round with our 100 x 200 enclosed riding arena featuring a sand/rubber footing. We also have a large (100 x 180) outdoor riding ring, a round pen, and trails surrounding the area. All horses in training receive 24/7 access to fresh water, high quality hay & grain fed twice daily, a de-worming program (either daily or rotational), a large box stall deeply bedded with kiln-dried shavings, and either individual and/or small group turn out. 30 day, 60 day, 90 day, and 120 day programs are available starting at only $850 (full board included). Call us today to get your horse evaluated or schedule a time to come see our facilities!
